2. Euphrates River:

- Course: It flows southwestward through Turkey, forms part of the border between Syria and Turkey, and then enters Syria. From Syria, it continues southeastward through Iraq, running parallel to the Tigris River. It eventually merges with the Tigris River in southern Iraq to form the Shatt al-Arab waterway.
