Things to Do in London for Children Under 10

They may not run into Mary Poppins but there is so much for kids to do in London that they won't mind. Children under 10 are well provided for with museums, zoos and amusement parks. Take them to the Horniman Museum with its collection of stuffed animals and live farm animals too. The Museum of Natural History, is where the dinosaurs live so parents know that is a must-see. These are just a few of the stops on an itinerary that will make London a special memory for young visitors.

The Golden Hinde
- Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe on his galleon, the Golden Hind, in the late 16th century. Kids might not care much about that, but they'll love climbing aboard the full-size replica of the ship docked at Pickford's Wharf. The London Aquarium
- One of Europe's largest collections of global marine life swims around at the London Aquarium. Cuban crocodiles are in residence. Kids can visit the Rainforests of the World Exhibit or be an junior aquarist for a day helping to feed the sea creatures.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
- It is Hyde Park and it is time for Winter Wonderland. The event is free but reservations must be made for ice skating at Central London's largest rink. The Giant Observation Wheel has heated pods to ride in while the family views the Winter Wonderland from on high. Kids will meet Father Christmas there in his own Santa Land to put a bug in his ear. Plenty of rides are to be found along with winter-warming sweets and food.
