How To Visit Shakespeare's Old Globe Theatre

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is one of London's premier attractions. The original Globe Theatre was destroyed in 1613 by fire, along London's Bankside District. Resurrected thereafter, the Globe continued to operate under the spirit of Elizabethan live theater. Over the next couple of centuries, the theater dismantled due to political and social turmoil. The Globe was resurrected once more in 1989, where it remains today as a modern, replicated version of the old Globe. Daily live shows include Elizabethan-style dressing, stage fighting and classical Shakespeare masterpieces, mostly performed by drama students from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
