West London Tourism Strategies

The West London Tourism Strategy is a group created by Visit London, the London Development Agency (LDA) and West London Business to create an improved tourism sustainability in West London. Though this area attracts thousands of visitors a year, with upcoming events businesses must be prepared.
  1. Reason

    • London was chosen for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. To prepare for this event the city re-evaluated its tourism sector and decided it needs improvement, especially in West London. The group estimates London could earn around $2 billion in profits after the Olympics.

    Goals

    • The goal of West Tourism strategies is to improve the overall tourism in West London. This will be done by improving the skills of current employees in the tourism industry, as well as training them to communicate with tourists. They will be educated in different aspects of tourism and the city as well.

    Function

    • The West London Tourism Strategy's main purpose is to lead and promote London's tourism industry. It will work with tourism groups to improve market and product development as well as intelligence throughout the industry. Individuals will work one-on-one with the group to improve the quality of West London Tourism.
