No Elevator at the Arc de Triomphe

284 Steps to the Top

There is no public lift (elevator) at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Visitors who wish to reach the viewing platform must climb the 284 steps of the spiral staircase.

An exception: a small service lift exists for staff and visitors with reduced mobility, but it only goes to the museum level (attic), not the roof terrace. Advance arrangement is required.
