What is the name of island on which statue liberty located?

The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It is a small, uninhabited island located in the Upper New York Bay, just southwest of Manhattan. The island was originally known as Bedloe's Island, but was renamed Liberty Island in 1956 in honor of the statue.
