Highland Campgrounds, 4 miles northwest of Clarks Summit in Dalton, offers pull-through sites with full hookups on 35 wooded acres. The central feature of Lackawanna State Park, 6 miles north of Clarks Summit in Dalton, is Lackawanna Lake, nearly 200 acres of water surrounded by forest. The park has RV campsites with electrical hookups and access to flush toilets and warm showers. A dump station is centrally located. Lackawanna features a swimming pool, 18 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, and three launch ramps for fishing and boating access on Lake Lackawanna. The park has several picnic areas with lake views, grills and restrooms.
Cozy Creek Family Campground, 15.5 miles northwest of Clarks Summit in the Endless Mountains of Wyoming County, offers RV sites along the Tunkhannock Creek. Select sites have full hookups, and campers have a choice of pull-through or back-in sites. All sites have picnic tables and fire pits. Campground amenities include bathrooms, laundry facilities, a playground and a camp store. The Endless Mountains region features covered bridges, historic sites, museums and scenic overlooks. Campers may wish to visit the historic town of Tunkhannock, 2 miles from Cozy Creek, which has antiques shops, restaurants and a golf course.
Stony Mountain Campground, also in the Endless Mountains, is 16 miles northwest of Clarks Summit. The property, which has sites on 57 wooded acres, features a lake stocked with bass, perch and walleye, as well as a recreational lodge with billiards, foosball and video games. A camp store sells groceries and supplies. RV sites have water and electrical hookups, and dump stations, laundry facilities and restrooms with hot showers are centrally located. Outdoor recreation options at Stony Mountain include hiking, swimming, horseshoes and volleyball.
