October Activities in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

The ski and snowboard season in Jackson Hole generally begins in late November. Although winter recreation is the main draw for many visitors to the community, Jackson Hole is a year-round destination with activities in the summer and fall. Although fall weather can be unpredictable, leading to temporary road closures as a result of snow or bad weather, the region still offers a number of activities for visitors, including sightseeing, outdoor recreation, shopping and relaxing at a spa.

North of the Jackson Hole is Yellowstone National Park, America's first national park and home to Old Faithful and other geysers and hot springs. Visitors can hike in the backcountry to view wildlife and the park's stunning mountain scenery.
