The Jackson County Rose Festival kicks off every June with Party in the Park and a parade. Other events throughout the year celebrating the Rose Festival include the Rose Queen Pageant, Teen Pageant, Labor Day fireworks and a craft show.

Middle of July in Jackson brings the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee. Hot air balloons of all colors, sizes and shapes grace the skies of Jackson during the festival, according to the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee website. Other activities coinciding with the jubilee include a car show, carnival rides and live entertainment.
Covering almost 500 acres just south of downtown Jackson, Cascades Park provides plenty of outdoor activities for all ages. Cascade Falls, the 18-hole Cascade Golf Course, miniature golf, basketball courts, horseshoe pits and tennis courts are just a few of the activities found in Cascades Park, according to the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
For a leisurely day, consider taking the wine tour of Jackson. Six wineries surround the Jackson area and can all be toured in one day, according to the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
