How to Find a Family at the Korean War Memorial

The Korean War Veterans Memorial was erected in 1995 and stands at the National Mall in Washington D.C. The memorial consists of a large granite Mural Wall which reflects 19 standing soldier statues so that they appear to be 38. The soldiers are a reference to the 38th parallel where the war took place. Lists of those killed or missing in action are provided on-site in the computerized memorial "Honor Roll." You may also search for Korean Veterans online by family name using the American Battle Monuments Commission's Korean War Listing search engine.
