How to Find Towns in New Jersey Listed by County

Located in the eastern United States, the state of New Jersey has 21 counties that contain more than 500 cities, boroughs, towns, villages and townships. The state of New Jersey maintains an online list of municipalities located within each of the counties. You can use this list to find all of the towns within a specific county.

  Go to the state of New Jersey's municipalities list at http://www.state.nj.us/infobank/revmuni.htm.

  Scroll down to locate the county where you want to find municipalities. The list organizes counties alphabetically.

  Find the municipalities listed under the county that have "TOWN" listed to the right of the municipalities name. Any municipality with "TOWN" listed to the right of the municipality name is a town. Many of the counties in New Jersey do not contain any municipalities considered towns.
