    • The Grand River Trail Riders club offers the Western Reserve Greenway Trail for snowmobile riders in Ashtabula, Ohio. Considered the main trail for the surrounding area, it is a leased trail, falling under the jurisdiction of the Ashtabula County Metroparks. The trail is multi-purposed and paved, and is maintained during all seasons using equipment such as groomers and a large tractor. Emergency services are also provided, which includes a pull-behind emergency sled.     Maurice K Goddard State Park

    • Below Ashtabula is the Maurice K Goddard State Park, which offers snowmobiling on its main, 12-mile paved trail during winter months. The trail can be accessed at various points throughout the state park and is open to two-way traffic when operational. The state park itself is over 2,800 acres and includes a 1,860-acre lake, Lake Wilhelm. Snowmobiling is allowed only where designated within the park, and there are various signs instructing riders as to those designations.

    Presque Isle Snowmobile Club

    • Operating in neighboring Erie Country, the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club
      (PISC) promotes snowmobiling in the area, and is an excellent avenue to explore local trails. The club maintains an authorized trail map with their own groomed trails marked in green. All of the trails have a designated Trail Boss, who can be reached for further information. According to the club, their trail system is extensive and connects neighboring clubs' trails from the state Ohio through to New York State. The club also hosts snowmobiling events and snowmobile rentals are available through the PISC clubhouse.
