Airlines That Fly to Montana

Vast, beautiful and hard to get to -- Montanans wouldn't have their state any other way. You may have to change planes and carriers to make the Treasure State your final destination, but the hassle is well worth it once you finally arrive.

  1. Flying to Montana's National Treasures

    • Two major airport service areas in Montana are near national parks -- Yellowstone and Glacier. Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Belgrade is perhaps the most highly trafficked airport in the state with many direct flights here from most major cities west of the Mississippi River, as well as Chicago and New York. Carriers include Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, Frontier and United. All these carriers but Frontier also service Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, offering dozens of daily flights from major Western cities.

    Helena, Great Falls and Billings

    • Delta and United are the two major carriers at Helena Regional Airport, with Alaska flying between here and Great Falls. Those three airlines also service Great Falls International Airport, with Allegiant and Frontier also providing flights to and from that facility. Delta and United provide several daily flights into and out of Billings, primarily from Portland, Denver and Salt Lake City. Allegiant, Alaska and Cape Air also offer regular flights to and from Billings.

    Moseying to Missoula

    • Delta and United serve as the major players in mountainous Missoula, with Alaska, Allegiant and Frontier picking up the slack. Delta and United each fly in and out of Missoula International Airport about a dozen times a day, with travel between here and most western United States cities.
