Airlines That Fly to Flagstaff, Arizona

Flagstaff is the nearest city to some of Arizona's most spectacular attractions, including the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, the Navajo Reservation and Sunset and Meteor craters. Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, approximately 6 miles south of Flagstaff's central business district, is primarily a general-aviation airport serving private planes and charters, but one commercial airline serves Flagstaff with direct flights to and from Phoenix.
  1. US Airways

    • Although American West Airlines originally served Flagstaff, in 2005 US Airways purchased the company and took over service to Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. US Airways flies between Phoenix to Flagstaff several times daily. Aircraft used are De Havilland Dash 8 turboprops, which carry up to 40 passengers on regional flights. Flights between Phoenix and Flagstaff are piloted by Mesa Airlines doing business as US Airways Express. US Airways is part of the Star Alliance network of airlines.

    Baggage Policies

    • Beginning Oct. 1, 2010, US Airways charges $25 to check one bag, $35 to check two and $100 to check three bags. Exempt from first and second checked bag fees are all Dividend Miles Preferred members, Star Alliance Silver and Gold status members, unaccompanied minors and active U.S. military personnel with identification. On US Airways Express flights, passengers are allowed one personal item, such as a purse or laptop, and one small carry-on bag, which may be tagged and put in the cargo hold of the plane for the duration of the flight.
