Many of the hotel casinos offer thrill rides, arcades, exhibitions and wildlife exhibits. Las Vegas also has opportunities for free entertainment, primarily outdoor pools and swimming areas at nearly every hotel on the Strip, most of which are open to teenagers.
The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino features a marine concept , which is in contrast to the surrounding Las Vegas desert. The aquarium tour journeys through 14 exhibits where visitors can witness marine life among an ancient temple immersed in the sea. The Shark Reef is devoted to aquatic predators and displays more than 2,000 animals of over 100 different species, including 15 species of sharks. The largest exhibit in the aquarium is the shipwreck room, which features an acrylic tunnel for viewing sharks and fish in nearly 360-degrees. The Shark Reef also has a Touch Pool where visitors can touch animals such as sharks, rays or crabs.
The Adventuredome is a theme park located inside the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. Rides are available for all ages, ranging from family rides for younger children to premium rides for teenagers and adults. The largest roller coaster in the park, the Canyon Blaster, is the world's only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster and goes at 55 miles per hour through the interior of the Adventuredome. Other notable rides include the Rim Runner, a river ride that culminates in a drop down a 60-foot waterfall; the Slingshot, which shoots riders up a tower and down again in fast acceleration; and the Inverter, which flips its riders in 360-degree spins. Other attractions include indoor rock climbing and bungee jumping, miniature golf, clown shows and an arcade. The Adventuredome offers discounts to groups and parties, as well as optional catering menus.
Bodies ...The Exhibition is an exhibit focusing on the human body. Featured in the exhibit are more than 200 real human bodies that have been maintained using a newly discovered preservation process, allowing them to be dissected and displayed to offer an accurate look into the human body. The exhibit covers all the main parts of the structure of the human body including the skeletal system, muscular system, fetal development and the circulatory system, among others.
