Tucson offers children indoor activities to keep them busy all year long. It has a rich history which kids can learn about at the many museums in the area. Kids also can learn about wildlife or music and play games at the many other attractions that Tucson has to offer families.
The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum offers plenty of kid-oriented activities. Kids ages 6-12 can learn about the desert by joining the Coati Kid's Club, while kids ages 12-15 can be a part of the Desert Rats program where they can prepare for future schoolwork and learn about the natural history of the Sonoran Desert. Children ages 2-5 can take part in the museum's preschool program where they can experience live animal encounters and build crafts.

Rocks and Ropes of Tucson is an indoor rock climbing facility. Climbers of all ages are welcome to participate for a fun, one day experience. Children under 12 are required to join the rock climbing camp to learn about the process. The facility encourages teamwork and provides challenges to test kids' climbing skills.

Pack Nights at the International Wildlife Museum provide activities that the whole family can enjoy. The education staff at the museum offers presentations on wildlife where kids can learn about creatures such as rattlesnakes and scorpions. Kids can complete a craft to take home.
