Miami Beach is famed for a vibrant nightlife with a diverse array of clubs and bars. Oceanfront bars and restaurants provide a backdrop for a quiet drink while watching the sunset. The South Beach area is renowned for a party atmosphere with late-night clubs with music from international DJs.     • Mansion Miami is one of four nightclubs owned by the The Opium Group, heralded by Harpers's Bazaar, Travel and Leisure, People, Time and The Miami Herald for attracting A-list celebrities and the international jet-set to Miami Beach. The club features multiple floors. Decor elements include sweeping staircases, ornate fireplaces and towering keystone arches. The club capacity is 2,500, with a private room for groups. Mansion hosts live music, shows and sets from international DJs except Monday and Tuesday. Friday's entertainment is "We Rock Hip Hop," a night dedicated to hip hop music, hosted by resident DJs Konflikt, Ideal and EFX. The club hosted the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Island Def Jam after-party, Diddy's 2005 Birthday Party, and Velvet Revolver's Miami performance. A cover charge is required and tickets can be booked through the club's website. Seating is available by request and on-site valet parking is provided.

    Mango's Tropical Cafe

    • Mango's Tropical Cafe, on South Beach, is a restaurant and nightclub with a Havana-style party atmosphere. Live music and entertainment include salsa and conga shows, mariachi, samba, a Michael Jackson "Thriller" tribute performance and exotic Mango club dancers. Cocktail specialities include mojitos and daiquiris while the menu offers salads, seafood and cooked meats with a Cuban flavor. The venue has several separate themed areas including The Vodou Room on the second floor, which hosts hip-hop nights every Friday and Saturday, featuring DJ Damion Daniel. The Mojito Room is also on the second floor and hosts Havana nights or can be booked for private parties.

    The Playwright Irish Pub and Restaurant

    • The Playwright Irish Pub and Restaurant is themed on old, cultured Dublin, with works of many famous Irish playwrights on display. The restaurant offers an extensive a la carte menu, imported draft beers and a variety of malt Scotch and Irish whiskeys. Speciality Irish dishes are served, including corned beef and cabbage, Irish beef stew and shepherds pie. Weekend entertainment is hosted by local Miami DJ's playing top 40 hits, rock and '80s music, while drink specials offer two for the price of one Monday through Friday. American, British and Irish sports events are shown live on 13 plasma TVs and three giant screens. Private parties and functions can be catered for up to 100 people cocktail style with a buffet menu or 40 people seated with a dinner menu.
