Alaska Galore Tours is a locally owned tour group operating out of Juneau. Their tours focus on Juneau and southeast Alaska and they offer both programmed and individually customized tours.
The "Islander" is the only ship in Alaska Galore's fleet but they also work with other boats not owned by the company. The state-of-the-art flagship was custom-built for Alaska Galore with specific features to enhance their tours. The lslander includes a surround heating system to keep passengers warm inside the boat and a hydrophone sound system to pick up underwater whale song.
Alaska Galore offers fishing adventures with experienced, licensed guides to help you land your own salmon or halibut. For those interested in sightseeing, whale-watching and bear-viewing adventures are Alaska Galore's specialty. A naturalist accompanies each trip to provide background on the whales, seals, sea lions and porpoises you will see on the trip.
Transportation from downtown Juneau to the harbor is arranged by the group and included in the price. Alaska Galore Tours offers complimentary snacks and beverages on all trips, as well as lunch on tours over six hours. The group can also arrange for processing and shipment of any fish that you catch on your tour.
