Moderate temperatures year-round allow for several craft festivals to take place in Florida annually. Florida residents and visitors can check out craft festivals throughout the state to find handcrafted gifts for family and friends. These weekend-long outdoor festivals offer an array of craft vendors, live entertainment and food and drink for visitors to enjoy.
Held at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center at the University of Florida, the annual Craft Festival typically takes place in late November, allowing visitors to stock up on handmade holiday gifts. This two-day event features only handcrafted goods, from art to jewelry. This invitation-only craft festival welcomes only the top vendors in the north-central Florida area, meaning visitors will see some of the area's best handcrafted goods. Hopeful vendors have to submit an application to receive permission to have a booth at the show. Admission fee to the craft festival is $4 for adults and $1 for University of Florida students. Children 13 and under get in free.

Since 1984, Mount Dora, located in central Florida outside of Orlando, has hosted a two-day craft fair. This nationally ranked craft fair showcases a variety of vendors and goods, from sculptures and paintings to ceramics and woodworking. Visitors can watch crafters weave baskets and sculpt, giving them an inside look at how they create these crafts.The fair reports to have more than 300 vendors and 250,000 visitors on average every year. Interested vendors can sign up for a booth online. Held in Mount Dora's downtown, the event offers food and live music for visitors to enjoy as well. The Mount Dora Village Merchants and Business Association puts on this annual craft fair.

Held at Welleby Park in Sunrise, Florida, the Woodstock Arts and Crafts Festival takes place every December. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2010, the festival features arts and craft displays as well as nursery areas. Visitors can check out jewelry displays, hand-sewn blankets and quilts, embellished clothing and wood-crafted items. In addition to craft displays, this two-day event features food and drink vendors for visitors to enjoy. Interested arts-and-crafts and food vendors can submit an application to the arts festival to receive a permit to set up a booth.
