Eureka is a small town in Northern California surrounded by beautiful redwoods near the wild, untamed coast. Though small, community vibe is important in Eureka, and the town features a revolving events calendar that gets visitors and locals alike involved. Fall is an excellent time to visit the area, with cool morning fog giving way to crisp sunshine. Around Halloween is certainly no exception, and you can find events to provide you with an enjoyable day or nighttime activity.
The Halloween Harvest Festival is a community event and craft show. The pumpkin patch features pumpkins that you can select yourself and purchase from the vendor. In addition, a class is available that teaches children and adults how to carve their pumpkins into beautiful creations for Halloween decor. The petting zoo, a favorite activity for young children, features an entertaining variety of local farm animals that you can pet and interact with. Young children in costume accompanied by an adult are invited to trick-or-treat with the vendors to enjoy an early Halloween surprise.
