Waterparks Near Olympia, Washington

Although no water parks exist in the city limits of Olympia, Washington, there are several located less than an hour away with plenty of exciting water activities for all ages. Admission prices quoted are as of the 2010 season.

  1. Grand Mound Waterpark

    • Located 20 minutes south of Olympia in Centralia, Ground Mound Waterpark is a 56,000 square foot indoor facility inside the Great Wolf Lodge Resort and is open year-round. This a giant water park with slides, pools, spray areas, rides, plenty of affordable food and a story time every night for those who want it. There is also shopping, a fitness center and a spa for Mom and Dad should they desire a break from the kids. Accommodations include wate rpark passes in addition to a themed suites based on number of occupants. Prices start around $200 per night for a family of four to 6.

    Wild Waves Theme and Waterpark

    • Wild Waves is located in Federal Way, about 40 minutes northeast of Olympia. It is an outdoor combo theme and water park open daily in the summer from June through August and on select weekends in May, September and October. The water park features six slides, three raft rides, a wave pool, activity pool, warming tubs and a host of concessions to please all palates. Ticket prices are around $40 for kids and adults 48 inches and above and $30 for those under 48 inches. Admission is free for kids 3 and under.

    Henry Moses Aquatic Center

    • The Henry Moses Aquatic Center is located in Renton, an hour drive from Olympia. The least expensive of the water parks listed, the entry fee is between $2 and $7 depending on age for a resident and between $4 and $14 for a nonresident. The park is a 9,000 square foot complex that includes a wave pool, two 26-foot water slides, a lazy river, water spray area, zero-depth activity pool and a café with a large assortment of concessions. The center is open from June through Labor Day.
