RV Campgrounds Near Moses Lake, Washington

Moses Lake refers both to a body of water and to the surrounding town. Long and narrow, the lake has 120 miles of shore, with features ranging from sand dunes to freshwater marshes, where you can observe waterfowl, eagles, wading birds and more. The water's 68,000-acre surface provides ample space for boating, water skiing and swimming. Fishing season lasts all year, and you might catch bass, bluegill, crappie, perch and trout. During the winter, you can try your hand at ice fishing or go cross-country skiing around the lake. Choose from RV campgrounds operated by the town, county or private individuals, and a nearby state park provides additional space.

  1. Going To Town

    • The town of Moses Lake operates a campground at the 30-acre Cascade Park, which runs along the lakeshore. The facility has 85 sites, including RV-designated spots, and a dump station and paid showers. A campground caretaker remains on the premises during open season, which runs from April to September. You can buy ice and firewood on-site. The park contains a boat launch and docks, playgrounds, picnic areas with grills and sports fields. You can fish in the lake, but swimming is prohibited.

    All's Fair in Grant County

    • The Grant County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake operates three RV campgrounds. The Pavilion has 56 sites with electric, water and sewer hookups. The North Campground has 88 sites and the East has 100; all these possess electric and water hookups but no sewer, so cost is less than at the Pavilion. Wi-Fi is included in camping fees. You can access restrooms and showers on the fairgrounds in close proximity to the camping areas. Leashed pets are allowed, and you can rent stalls for horses but may not ride them in the campgrounds.

Amenities include a pool, hot tub, clubhouse, basketball courts, horseshoe pits and game room. You also can find an array of on-site activities, from community meals to craft classes. In addition to a store, a cafe, laundry facilities and showers, you’ll find a picnic area with a fire ring. Pets are allowed in the campground but restricted from the beach and grassy areas bordering the shore.

    Resort Relaxation

    • At Suncrest Resort, you'll find more than 80 sites with full hookups, including several pull-throughs for large rigs; Wi-Fi and fiber-optic connections also are available. While the campground is several blocks from the lake, you can stay on the premises to enjoy the water at the swimming pool, large spa and miniature water slides. Other amenities include a clubhouse, a game room, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers and a store. Outdoor volleyball courts and a playground complete the offerings.

    Delightful Desert

    • Desert Oasis RV Park, just off Interstate 90 in downtown Moses Lake, remains open throughout the year and has daily, weekly and monthly rates. The facility operates 34 back-in sites with water, electric and sewer hookups and has space to accommodate most large rigs. You can also take advantage of free basic cable TV and coin-operated showers and laundry.

    Potholes State of Mind

    • To the south, Moses Lake connects with Potholes Reservoir, where the Potholes State Park -- 16 miles from town on the reservoir’s southwest shore -- operates a campground. You can find 60 RV sites with full hookups and a limited number of spaces designed for rigs up to 50 feet long. The campground also has restrooms, showers and a dump station. The 640-acre park provides numerous opportunities for recreation on the water, with boat ramps, docks and swimming areas; you also can fish, water ski, kayak and operate personal watercraft.
