Fine dining, a vibrant nightlife and plenty of people-watching make Miami a popular destination for Spring Breakers in need of sun and fun. There are plenty of activities for students to take advantage of in Miami for a memorable Spring Break, whether on South Beach or in one of the city's outlying districts.
No matter what time of year your Spring Break lands on, Miami's Lincoln Road in South Beach is sure to be a hotbed of entertainment from sunrise to sunset. The pedestrian mall is seven blocks long, full of hotels, dining, shopping, bars and nightlife venues. Lincoln Road stretches between Alton Road and Washington Road and is just a few steps away from the beach.
During the day, students on Spring Break can take in Miami's natural beauty on a day cruise or check out celebrity residences on Star Island. Tour buses can also take sightseers through Miami's various neighborhoods, including Little Havana and Little Haiti. Walking tours through Miami's Art Deco District are another way to take in all that the city has to offer.
Miami's Winter Music Conference is one of the largest music industry events in the world and brings thousands of music fans to South Beach to mingle with Spring Break partygoers. Concerts, conferences, parties and other happenings make up this week-long event held in March. In 2010, the Winter Music Conference celebrated its 25th anniversary.
