Townsend is located in the eastern part of Wisconsin and has a population of almost 1000. Despite its small size, the town is still home to several lakes, attractions and recreation areas such as the Boot Lake Campground, Sleepy Hollow Miniature Golf, the Jones Springs Management Area and the Glocke Lake State National Area.     Hillcrest Lodge

    • Hillcrest Lodge is located on the banks of a large inland lake, the Townsend Flowage. the main lodge offers a full-service restaurant and bar and is even rumored to have a resident ghost named Dr. Fred.

      Guests can choose from a variety of cottages and cabins with features such as fully equipped kitchens, television, patios overlooking the lake and large full-size beds. In addition, some units also feature fireplaces and secluded decks. There are a variety of ATV trails all over Townsend and the vehicles are even legal on the streets. Other popular activities include swimming, boating and fishing on the lake.

    • Camp 20 Cabins are located just 20 minutes outside of Townsend in nearby Laona. Guests can choose from a cozy and romantic one bedroom log cabin with a whirlpool tub and fireplace, or a larger family cabin nestled right on the river bank with a bigger kitchen and a private deck.
