Entering Ellen’s Stardust Diner is like stepping back in time to the 1950s. The diner is located on Broadway and 51st Street. The décor includes a drive-in theater screen, 1956 Predicta televisions, an indoor train which circles the mezzanine-level dining rooms and a “Miss Subways” gallery. The Jekyll and Hyde Club is located a short walk from Times Square, on Sixth Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets. The restaurant’s chilling theme is based upon the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. According to the story, in an attempt to rid himself of his own alter-ego, Dr. Jekyll traveled from London to New York in 1931 and formed the “Jekyll and Hyde Club” as a social gathering place where like minds would meet and attempt to understand man’s darker side.
