Senior Clubs in and around Atlanta

For many seniors, the notion of sitting at home in sedentary lifestyles is less than appealing. Consequently, many seniors resort to bingo nights, church activities, or senior clubs. Senior clubs are organizations set up by seniors to provide activities, networking, and other senior-based activities. There may also be meetings. In Atlanta--one America's thriving cities--and the surrounding area, there are diverse group of senior clubs organized by both seniors and senior organizations.

  1. Seniors Golfers Association of Atlanta

    • The Seniors Golfers Association of Atlanta is committed--according to its mission statement--to "good golf and fine fellowship." Each month, the group sends out a monthly newsletter to its more than 240 members. The association is currently in its 54th year of existence. Members must be at least 55 years old and membership dues are $25 per year. The club has an "emeritus" membership group that consists of members age 75 or older who have been members for a minimum of five years. The club sponsors an annual tournament with multiple dates in September and October, though the club meets regularly for golfing activity. Banquets and board meetings round out the list of activities throughout the year.
