The Comedy Cabaret has been in operation in Delaware since 1980. The club offers weekend shows at different venues in Wilmington. As of 2010, the Ground Round Restaurant is currently hosting the shows. Comedy shows focus on stand-up routines and in the past, famous stars such as Jay Leno and Ray Romano have made appearances. The New Candlelight Theatre hosts a monthly Candlelight Comedy Club night. Tickets include an appetizer buffet and comedy show. A cash bar is also available. Season ticket holders to the theater save $5 off of the regular ticket prices. Cocktail hour starts one hour before each show. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia is a short drive from northern Delaware. The club hosts three-act comedy shows on Wednesday through Saturday nights. Each show lasts approximately one hour and 40 minutes. The club boasts an intimate feel with seating for only 240. National headliners appear at each show in addition to an opener and feature performer. Appetizers and desserts are served. Patrons must be 21 and over. Eighteen to 20 year olds are permitted when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
