The Go Comedy Improv Theater & Bar is located in the Ferndale section of Detroit, about 20 minutes from the Downtown area. The club was awarded the title of "Best Comedy Club for 2009" by the Real Detroit Weekly. Go Comedy has multiple improv and sketch comedy shows every night of the week except Monday and Tuesday.

Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle has been in business since 1979 and features a range of stand-up comedians Thursday through Saturday. The club is located in the Royal Oak section of Detroit a short 20-minute drive from the downtown center. Jon Stewart, Dennis Miller, Jim Carrey and Ellen DeGeneres are among today's comedy stars that have all performed in the Comedy Castle.

The All Star Comedy Club is located in the newly opened comedy club in the Allen Park suburb of Detroit, a short 15-minute drive from the downtown area. The club has hosted comedic stars from Comedy Central and the Def Jam Comedy Tour. The club has one show on Thursday and two on Friday and Saturday nights.
