Restaurants Near Turner Field in Atlanta

Turner Field is the home of the Atlanta Braves. The park opened on April 4, 1997. Although Turner Field itself, which is on Hank Aaron Drive, has numerous restaurants, the area around the baseball stadium offers few eating options, apart from fast food and takeout restaurants. However, visitors can find a variety of dining options within 3 miles of the park, from upscale Mediterranean wine bars to casual cafes with a Latin flair.

  1. Dakota Blue Restaurant

    • Dakota Blue Restaurant in Grant Park is approximately 1 1/2 miles from Turner Field. The menu features 15 appetizers, including domchiladas--flour tortillas stuffed with spinach, corn, jalapenos, Monterey jack cheese and black beans, and then deep fried. One of Dakota Blue's specialties is fish tacos--grilled tilapia topped with jalapeno tartar sauce, pico de gallo, coleslaw and black or pinto beans. The restaurant also serves salads, Cuban sandwiches, burgers and chicken sandwiches. Dakota Blue has a full bar and specializes in margaritas. Lunch and dinner are served daily and brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are not accepted. Casual attire is appropriate. Outdoor dining is available on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, weather permitting. A children's menu is available for young diners.

    Grant Central Pizza

    • Grant Central Pizza is adjacent to Grant Park and less than 2 miles from Turner Field. The Zagat dining guide rated Grant Central Pizza "very good to excellent" for its food, "good to very good" for its service and "fair to good" for its decor as of August 2010. Specialty pizzas served by the restaurant include one with chicken florentine topped with blackened white breast meat, onions and spinach. The menu also features salads, calzones and pasta dishes. Grant Central Pizza is open daily for lunch and dinner. The restaurant features counter service only. Guests can enjoy their meals in the dining room or outside along the sidewalk.

    Vino Libro

    • Vino Libro is less than 3 miles from Turner Field. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. Menu items include house-cured salmon tapas with sour cream and rosemary crackers and a trio of hummus (roasted red pepper, garlic and herb) with pita toast points. Dinner entrees include salmon in brown butter sauce with wild mushroom risotto and rack of tarragon lamb with arugula salad and herb-roasted potatoes. Vino Libro is open nightly for dinner.
