Good Restaurants Close to the Luxor in Las Vegas

The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas is located on the Las Vegas Strip in the midst of all the excitement and lights. The Luxor Hotel has restaurants onsite, but if you want to venture away from the hotel and experience a different atmosphere for breakfast, lunch or dinner, there are many restaurants nearby.

  1. Del Lupo Trattoria

    • The Del Lupo Trattoria is one minute away from the Luxor in the Mandalay Bay Resort. The restaurant opened in 1999 and was the first authentic Italian restaurant of Wolfgang Puck's. A glass-enclosed area inside the restaurant allows you to see the chef make fresh pasta for the day's orders. Dinner menu items include Italian ricotta doughnuts, New York strip steak with rosemary and arugula and homemade spinach pasta with Bolognese and béchamel sauces. The fine dining restaurant opens at 5 p.m. daily and reservations are recommended.

    Rainforest Café

    • The Rainforest Café is three minutes away from the Luxor in the MGM Grand. The café has a casual dining atmosphere, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The entranceway to the café is through a double archway made of a 10,000 gallon aquarium. The café dining area has a tropical atmosphere with vegetation and waterfalls. The family-style café serves foods typical of a rainforest such as Mojo Bones (spareribs), primal steak (New York strip) and tree top filet (tenderloin steak). The average price is $15 to $25 as of August 2010.

    Roundtable Buffet

    • Roundtable serves an abundant buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is less than one mile from the hotel in the Excalibur Hotel Casino. The breakfast buffet is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner buffet from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. The buffet consists of desserts, Chinese cuisine, Mexican specialties, American dishes, pizza and a soda fountain. As of August 2010, adult prices range from $14.99 for breakfast, $15.99 for lunch and $19.99 for dinner; kids' prices range from $10.99 for breakfast, $11.99 for lunch, and $15.99 for dinner. The value deal is $29.99, which allows patrons to eat all day long.
