Las Vegas has a wide array of dining options, ranging from casual family establishments to fine dining restaurants. However, it is the Las Vegas luxury restaurants that garner most of the attention because many are run by celebrity chefs and offer travelers a sophisticated dining experience that they might not get at home. Prices at Las Vegas luxury restaurants may be steep, but many visitors find the unique dishes, elegant decor and impressive ambiance worth the money.

    • With a menu designed by well known American chef Alessandro Stratta, Alex features traditional French cuisine, ranging from lobster, oysters and other seafood to veal, duck and foie gras. Alex's décor creates a sophisticated ambiance with floor to ceiling drapes, intricate lattice-detail molding and dark wood paneling. Because of the luxurious atmosphere, no casual clothing is permitted, and male guests are required to wear jackets. Both a tasting and prix fixe menu are available, and items often change based on what ingredients are available seasonally. Located inside Wynn Las Vegas, Alex also boasts a wide selection of wines so guests are able to find a wine to accompany any meal. According to Vegas.com, Alex is designated by AAA as a Five Diamond Restaurant in their restaurant ranking system. In addition, Alex won the 2010 Wine Spectator Grand Award.

    Joel Robuchon

    • Located inside the MGM Grand, Joel Robuchon was the first of Chef Joel Robuchon's restaurants in the United States. The restaurant's menu contains French cuisine, and offers guests the choice of a six course or 16-course meal. There are also several other tasting menus that contain combinations of appetizers, soups, main courses, cheese and desserts. Menu items include frog legs, duck foie gras, veal chops, ribeye steak and lobster. To heighten the luxurious experience of dining at Joel Robuchon, guests who have a reservation for the 16-course meal are treated to a free limo ride to the restaurant. The dining room features impressive china, silver, crystal and hand-blown glasses, as well as a crystal chandelier in the center of the room. Given the impressive décor, guests must be dressed in business casual and men are required to wear jackets. According to Vegas.com, Joel Robuchon was awarded a Las Vegas Life Magazine's Epicurean Award for Best French Restaurant in 2007, and in 2009, was the only Las Vegas restaurant to be awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide, an annual guide book of restaurants throughout the world.

    • Located within the Bellagio, Michael Mina offers a contemporary menu that highlights unique seafood dishes. Designed by award winning chef, Michael Mina, the menu also contains vegetarian options, seasonal specials and an extensive wine list of both European and American wines. Menu items include ahi tuna, lobster pot pie and kobe ribeye. Michael Mina is located inside the Bellagio's Conservatory, so it is surrounded by a wide range of flowers, plants and trees. The dining room features a wood-paneled ceiling and natural stone floors, giving it a rustic yet elegant feel. Given the lush setting, guests must adhere to a business casual dress code. According to Vegas.com, Michael Mina won a 2005 Epicurean Award for Best Seafood and was named Las Vegas Life Magazine's Best Service restaurant in 2007.
