Tims Ford State Park is located in Winchester, in South Central Tennessee. This state park is home to the 10,000 acre Tims Ford Lake, an Elk River Reservoir surrounded by scenic land brimming with wild deer and turkeys. Tims Ford State Park has campsites, a golf course, a swimming pool, cabins and five miles of hiking and cycling trails. Guests can take boats out on the lake for fishing and water sports.

The Giles County Courthouse in Pulaski, in South Central Tennessee is a historical building with notable architectural integrity. The building, built in the early 1900s is designed with a neoclassical style with prominent columns and dome. Visitors can see brass doors, a stained glass skylight and a number of caryatids that hold up the dome. This attraction is open every weekday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Admission is free.

Lairdland Farm House is a well-preserved farm house that is officially on the National Register of Historic Places. The farm house, originally built in 1831, is situated on 5,000 acres of poplar woodlands. Visitors tour the home's nine rooms, a herb garden, antique toys and dolls and a private Civil War collection by appointment only from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. every day.

Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444 mile-road paved over an ancient path used by Native Americans, explorers, pioneers and settlers throughout American history. About a third of the parkway runs directly through South Central Tennessee just west of Lawrenceburg, Summertown, Columbia and ends just south of Nashville. Visitors may simply drive the scenic parkway or go camping, horseback riding, hiking, cycling and fishing at designated sites along the way.

The Amish Welcome Center in Ethridge, in South Central Tennessee is about seven miles north of Lawrenceburg on Highway 43. The center provides exhibits and information on the Amish culture and religion that still has settlements near the center. Guests can take old-fashioned horse-drawn carriages to some of the local Amish communities to see hand-made crafts and learn first-hand about them.
