Vantage, Washington is a hot spot for outdoor enthusiasts. It offers sought after attractions such as hiking, fishing, lakes and parks and winter sports to its visitors. Because Vantage takes such pride in its outdoor playground, it is not overrun with organized camping facilities, but there several camp grounds or RV Parks for visitors to choose from.
Ginkgo Petrified Forest/Wanapum State Park offers more than 50 camp sites for a going rate of $30 per night as of 2010. It offers plenty of room for RVs and motor homes. The site offers a variety of accommodations such as pull-thru sites and big rig access, waterfront and pool access, showers and restrooms for its campers.
Most campers want to take advantage of the glorious natural wonders that abound in the surrounding State Park, so the site does not find much need for internet or telephone hook-ups. But it does offer water and sewer access and also provides electricity to its guests.
This State Park is first come first served after Labor Day, so make sure you have a second option for accommodations when you arrive.
