RV Campgrounds in Alaska

The state of Alaska in the Pacific Northwest region of North America provides hiking and mountain climbing opportunities for outdoorsy vacationers at locations, such as Denali National Park and Glacier Bay Park. Alaska also offers RV travelers campgrounds near these sites, as well as fishing and kayaking facilities on the Cook Inlet near Anchorage, the state's largest city.     • Located two miles within Denali National Park, the Denali Riverside RV Park offers guests access to hiking trails and fishing opportunities on the Nenana River. Water and electric hook-ups are available and tent camping is permitted.

    Golden Nugget RV Park

    • The Golden Nugget RV Park in Anchorage offers 215 RV parking sites with hook-ups for water, electricity and sewage. Some sites only offer electric hook-ups. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available. Amenities include free access to Wi-Fi Internet, picnicking pavilion with barbecue grills, restrooms, laundromat and shower facilities. The RV Park is within 20 minutes of boating marinas on Cook Inlet and shopping opportunities in downtown Anchorage.

    Driftwood Inn Charters and RV Park

    • The RV Park at Driftwood Inn is within walking distance to Bishop's Beach on the shores of Cook Inlet, which provides fishing and boating opportunities. The park also is a five-minute walk to the Visitor's Center in Homer. Amenities at include fish cleaning stations, laundromat, picnicking area with barbecue grills and free access to Wi-Fi Internet.     Beluga Lookout Lodge and RV Park

    • Beluga Lookout, situated in the town of Kenai, is a shorefront campground on the Kenai River, and provides opportunities for fishing on the river, as well as beluga whale sightings in the Cook Inlet. The club house features shower facilities, restrooms, a gift shop and laundromat. A picnicking area with barbecue grills and fish cleaning station also is available in the park. The RV parking sites include sewage, electric and water hook-ups.

    Haines Hitch-Up RV Park

    • Haines Hitch-Up RV Park is in the southern Alaska town of Haines, and located right off the Haines Highway. The campground is less than 30 minutes from hiking and cycling opportunities in the Chilkat Mountains. Amenities include restroom and shower facilities, gift shop, access to Wi-Fi Internet, laundromat and cable television. Each site has hook-ups for water, electricity and sewage. The campground also provides tour services from the park to Juneau, the capital of Alaska.
