The Kenai RV Park is located within the city of Kenai, the second oldest permanent settlement in the 49th state. The RV park offers full hookups with city water for RVs, showers and Wi-Fi. It also has one amenity that may not be found in Lower 48 campgrounds: an on-site smokehouse. The RV park also loans out clam digging gear to its guests, and has private fish and clam processing facilities.

Diamond M Ranch is located just four miles outside of Kenai on the way to Soldotna 11 miles away. It has cabins, a lodge and an RV park with full hookups and pull-throughs. Tent camping also is available. The property has a central fire pit, fish cleaning facilities, showers and restrooms. Occasional moose and bear wander through the area.

Discovery Campground is a state campground 25 miles beyond Kenai, offering fishing, camping, beachcombing and hiking. Campers frequently see wildlife in the area, with the list including moose, bear, wolves, bald eagles and a variety of other birds. Campers looking out to Cook Inlet have seen Beluga whales and seals. The campground is owned by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources and operated by Alaska Recreation Management.
