Campgrounds Near Seward, Alaska

Seward, Alaska is situated along Resurrection Bay and south of Anchorage. By Alaskan standards, it's considered a city, but its population was only a little over 3,000 in 2008 according to city-data.com. Like most of Alaska, Seward has spectacular scenery and is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The result is a multitude of campgrounds in and around Seward.
  1. Stoney Creek RV Park

    • Situated six miles north of Seward along the banks of Stoney Creek, the Stoney Creek RV Park is spread out over 15 acres in a residential area. All of the sites are 30 ft. wide, and most of them are at least 50 ft. wide, allowing plenty of room for parking, large rigs and slide-outs. All of the sites are equipped with electric, some of which have 50-amp connections. They also have satellite TV and water. Of those sites, 68 have sewer, and 38 have phone jacks. The sites along the creek have fire pits. The property also includes a laundry room, showers and a hospitality room.

    Miller's Landing

    • Situated just south of Seward along Resurrection Bay, the Miller's Landing campground has tent sites and RV sites. The RV sites have electrical hook-ups. Campers can also choose between wooded and bay front sites. On the property are flush toilets, picnic tables, a fire pit, showers, a laundry facility and a store with bait, ice, snacks and groceries. Other amenities include free coffee, a place to purchase fishing licenses and a boat launch. Guests can also opt to stay in cabins or lodges. Boating and fishing trips are available at the campground.

    Bear Creek RV Park

    • The Bear Creek RV Park has campsites with partial and full hook-ups. On the property are a dump station, a store that sells groceries and ice, private restrooms and showers. Other features include modem hook-ups, cable TV, a liquor store and laundry facilities. The Bear Creek RV Park also has LynDav's Water Hole, a fully stocked bar with a big screen TV. A garage that repairs vehicles, including SUVs and RVs, is a two-minute walk from the park's entrance. Also within easy walking distance are Bear Creek and Bear Lake.
