The Parris Island RV Park is on the grounds of Parris Island Marine Corps Base. Each of the 18 sites includes electrical, sewer and water hookups and picnic tables. The park has hot showers, clean bathrooms and a laundry facility for guest use. Current and former service members and guests of Marines graduating from basic training can use the park. Nearby attractions include the base commissary and exchange store, Elliot’s Beach and the Parris Island Museum. Reservations must be made at least five days in advance.

Camp Carlson RV Park, in Muldraugh, Kentucky, near Fort Knox, is open to all active, reserve and retired military personnel as well as Department of Defense civilians. The 65-acre park features a 25-acre fishing lake. The park has 53 RV sites and offers daily, weekly and monthly rates. Many of the sites have full hookups for water, sewer and electrical service. Amenities include laundry facilities, hot showers, wireless Internet access, dump station and playground area. Four picnic shelters may be reserved for an extra fee.

Fort Lewis Travel Camp, at Fort Lewis, Washington, is open year-round. The campground is on the shores of American Lake and offers 48 RV sites with full hookups. Rental cabins also are available. Amenities include a lounge area with television, laundry facilities, dump station, propane tank fill station and shower facilities. Reservations are required and can be made up to 90 days in advance. Stays are limited to two weeks.
