Crater of Diamonds State Park is located in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, about 55 miles from the Arkansas/Oklahoma border and 112 miles southwest of Little Rock. According to the park website, Crater of Diamonds is "the only diamond-producing site in the world open to the public." Visitors can tour the diamond excavation area and search for treasures, keeping what they find. More than 40 different stones---including amethyst, garnet, hematite, banded agate and quartz---can be found in the park.
Crater of Diamonds campground has 59 Class B sites with full hookups and 30-amp electric service. Rates in 2010 are $18 a day; $13.50 daily in December, January and February. Discounts are given for seniors and the disabled. The campground has restrooms with showers, and sanitary dump stations. The park also features a water park, gift shop, information center, restaurant, hiking/biking trails, wildlife observation, pavilions and picnic areas.
The campground was expected to reopen in late summer of 2010 after a complete renovation. During renovations, nearby Daisy State Park is a recommended option.

Campers visiting the Bill Clinton Presidential Center or enjoying Wild River Country water park can stay the night at the Little Rock North KOA. The park accepts various RVs, including motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, pickup campers and slideouts. The RV sites can accommodate rigs up to 95 feet long. There are pull-through and back-in sites, with full hookups and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric service. Park amenities include restrooms with showers, free WiFi, free cable TV, laundry facilities, a seasonal swimming pool, fitness center, sauna, snack bar and ice cream parlor. There is on-site propane service and a sanitary dump station.

Kettle Campground is located in Eureka Springs, in northwestern Arkansas. The campground is less than 25 miles from the Arkansas/Missouri border and 182 miles northwest of Little Rock. It offers a trolley that takes guests into town, and discounted tickets for nearby attractions, such as the Pine Mountain Jamboree, Great Passion Play or the Eureka Springs Hoe Down.
Kettle Campground offers three types of RV sites, with nightly rates from $23 to $27. Basic sites include water and electric service. Standard sites include full hookups. Premium sites include full hookups with a choice of 50-amp electric service, oversized sites or pull-through sites. Park amenities include shady sites, clean restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, free wireless Internet, swimming pool, playground, picnic area, horseshoe pit. There is on-site ice, wood and propane vending, a sanitary dump station, a dumpster for garbage collection and ample parking. Pets are welcome.
