Since 1946, ski resorts in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania have been a popular winter destination. With eight ski areas, the Poconos offer skiing for all levels and abilities. Shawnee Mountain Ski Area offers Ski and Stay packages with lift tickets and accomodations. Shawnee Mountain offers a 700-foot vertical drop, 23 slopes and trails, two terrain parks and a snow tubing park. Lifts include one quad, one triple, four doubles, and four carpets. Clients choose lodging at a bed and breakfast, at a campground or cottage, in a condo, at a hotel or at a resort. Package options include accommodations at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, the closest lodging to Shawnee Mountain. The Shawnee Inn offers 80 rooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, and dining at the River Room and the Keystone and Gem Brewpub. The ski package also includes breakfast.

Blue Mountain ski area encourages guests to Ski, Stay and Eat. At 1,082 feet, Blue Mountain is the highest vertical ski point in the Poconos. With 34 trails, four terrain parks, a snow tubing park and nine lifts, Blue Mountain offers skiing for all ability levels. The nearest accommodations are one mile from Blue Mountain in the town of Little Gap, Pennsylvania. There are several dining options in the town of Little Gap, or in Palmerton, about an eight-minute drive from Blue Mountain.
