The Jack Stack Barbecue restaurant is housed in a converted historic Freight house complete with a full bar, 25-foot ceilings, a fireplace lounge and outdoor seating. Start off with an appetizer of burnt ends (beef, ham or pork seared until tender and cut into bite-sized chunks). All of the sandwiches come with French fries. Try the Southern Jack (pulled pork smothered in spicy sauce and served on a French roll). All the meats, including the fish, are grilled over hickory. Pair any entrée with a side of cheesy corn bread or the loaded baked potato. Finish everything off with one of the restaurant's homemade desserts, like the vanilla rum bread pudding or Mom's carrot cake. All the sauces and rubs are available for purchase online.
