Wisconsin is revered for its dairy products (especially cheese): Fairs and festivals found throughout the state celebrate some of this fine fare, as well as Wisconsin's traditions and culture. These local celebrations feature everything from great music by regional bands and performers to the famous Wisconsin State Fair cream puff.
Summerfest, the premier musical event in Wisconsin, attracts national and local musicians for 11 days of performances on 11 stages. Located on Lake Michigan, near downtown Milwaukee, Summerfest regularly welcomes more than 800 different bands and musicians. Food and beverage vendors keep the crowds sated. Ticket purchases for Summerfest include all stages and acts except for those scheduled at the Marcus Amphitheater---those concerts require a separate ticket purchase.

Located in Kenosha, the Taste of Wisconsin is a celebration of local foods, including regional beers, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. Food and beverage vendors are located throughout the festival, offering local microbrews, fried cheese and buffalo brats. Admission is free, and live music is featured throughout the festival.

Since 1851, the Wisconsin State Fair has been providing food, fun and entertainment for Wisconsin residents and visitors. Traditional fair food is available, including cotton candy and funnel cakes, as are local delicacies such as cream puffs, which outsell all other food items at the fair. Usually held in early August for 11 days, the Wisconsin State Fair also offers live music and milking demonstrations and seeks to actively promote the dairy industry.
