Tallahassee Airport Luggage Restrictions

Tallahassee Regional Airport is a small hub airport in Florida owned by the City of Tallahassee. This airport facility spans a 2,743-acre site located about seven miles southwest of the city's central business district.
  1. Passenger Check Point

    • All keys and other metal objects in the carry-on are subject to inspection. As with any other airport, it is standard that all laptops must be removed from the carrying case during X-ray screening. Outer garments and footwear must also be run through the X-ray machine.

    Liquid Restrictions

    • As of November 2010, the Tallahassee Regional Airport follows the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA's) 3-1-1 policy for carry-on liquids. This means only a maximum of 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters of liquid placed in an appropriate container can be brought during the flight. The container must be inside a clear, plastic, zip-lock bag. If carrying larger liquids, they must be declared for inspection at the checkpoint. Exempt liquids in larger quantities may include medications, baby food and formula in reasonable quantities. Liquids, gels and aerosols in checked baggage must be properly packed as well.

    Baggage Warnings

    • Baggage must be kept under custody of the traveler at all times. Otherwise, the unattended baggage may be considered a security threat.

It is possible the baggage screening process can ruin undeveloped film. Passengers bringing such are advised to remove the film for manual inspection before giving the bag to the operator.
