Cancel your reservation online (see Resources). Enter your confirmation number and name where prompted, and then click the "Continue" button on the screen. It will take you to another page, which will have you confirm your cancellation request. Reservations made as part of a vacation or group package, as well as reservations made at the ticket counter, cannot be canceled online.
Call 800-435-9792 to cancel your reservation over the phone. Speak with an operator and have either your confirmation number or credit card number with which you purchased the ticket. The operator will help you cancel the existing reservation, make a new one, or begin the refund process on your purchase if the cancellation is made before departure of the flight.
Cancel your reservation at the ticket counter at the airport. Present your confirmation number, ticket or credit card to find your reservation in the system. Also present your valid ID if you are asked to confirm your identity.
The agent at the ticket counter can book you on another flight or begin the process of a refund, which may take up to 10 business days for the funds to be deposited back into credit and bank card accounts. Alternate flights could be priced differently from the original, so you may pay more.
