Bluefield is located in the southern corner of West Virginia. Bluefield is a very rural area, with one local airport without commercial service nearby. However, there are two larger airports that offer commercial service located within two and a half hours of Bluefield.

Piedmont Triad International airport in Greensboro, North Carolina, is 147 miles, about two and a half hours, from Bluefield, West Virginia, making it another fairly close regional airport.
