The Kennedy Space Center, located east of Orlando near Cocoa Beach, Florida, is both a current NASA launch site as well as a museum of American space flight. Located a little more than 30 miles from the Kennedy Space Center, the Melbourne Airport offers a convenient location and less crowded facility than the Orlando Airport. It is also the closest commercial airport to the Kennedy Space Center. The airport is served by Delta and USAirways, offering direct service to and from Atlanta and Charlotte.
