Cathay Pacific is an airline based in Hong Kong. According to the airline's website, Cathay Pacific employs more than 20,000 people and flies to more than 100 cities worldwide. Cathay Pacific currently has 22 Boeing 747-400 models that are intended for long-haul flights. The 747 carries two cockpit crew members for shorter flights and four for the longer trips, along with a cabin crew of 16. The 747's seating is spread across two decks, with the upper deck accommodating 22 Business Class passengers. The main deck accommodates nine people in First Class, 24 in Business and 324 in Economy.
Cathay Pacific flies four three-class and 11 two-class A340 jets. The three-class A340 can carry up to four in the cockpit, depending on flight length, and 11 cabin crew members. In this configuration, there are eight First Class, 30 Business Class and 205 Economy Class seats. The two-class A340, with only Business and Economy cabins, can also have a cockpit crew complement of up to four and a cabin crew of 10. Business Class on this jet seats 26 people, while Economy class seats 257.
Cathay Pacific also operates two versions of the Airbus A330, one for long-haul trips and the other for shorter flights. The long-haul version, of which the airline has 12 units, has a cockpit crew of either two or three and a cabin crew of 10. This A330 version allows for 41 Business Class and 223 Economy Class seats. The airline has 20 of the regular A330 jets, which carries two pilots and 11 flight attendants in the cabin. In this configuration, there are 44 seats in Business Class and 267 in Economy.
