Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Bank card holding clients earn reward points for every dollar that they spend. You can combine your own points with those accumulated by your family or friends who are also RBC Bank card holders. Clients can redeem their RBC reward points in a number of ways. One of the options is to convert reward points to British Air Travel Miles, at a one-to-one ratio. Customers can use the miles toward purchasing non-refundable British Airways tickets of all classes.
Accumulate RBC Reward points as you make purchases with your RBC card. Keep in mind that there are several ways to earn bonus points. For example, you are eligible for 2,500 bonus points each time you renew your RBC Visa Infinite Avion for another year. In addition, earn bonus points by using the card on travel purchases, such as car rentals, air travel, hotel stays and package holidays.
Sign up for the British Airways Executive Club. Enroll online at http://www.britishairways.com/travel/execenrol/public/en_ca. Allow 48 hours for your new Executive Club membership to be activated.
Keep in mind that that the minimum amount of RBC points required for a conversion to British Airways miles is 10,000 points.
Call the RBC (1-800-769-2512) and let a representative know that you would like to convert your RBC points to British Airways miles. Have your Executive Club member number available when you call.Wait at least 48 hours after a points transfer to make a British Airways miles redemption booking.
