Signing up for an airline's frequent flier program is extremely easy, and usually free. Depending on the program, you can earn miles by traveling with participating airlines, or making general purchases. Redeeming frequent flier miles on Alaska Air is simple.
Sign into your account on Alaska Air's website (see Resources). If you do not have an account, sign up for a free online account.
Click on the "Mileage Plan" and "Award Reservation." Enter your destination, flight days, preferred travel time, number of travelers and type of seat. Click "Continue."
Select your flight. The amount of miles each flight costs is located above the "Select" button.
Click "Continue" to confirm your selection, and fill out the passenger information form.
