How to Use Chase Visa Miles

Chase Visa offers credit cards that accrue frequent flier mileage with a variety of air carriers. Most of the cards are issued under the Chase Visa TravelPlus Rewards program. Mileage gets accrued with every dollar spent using the credit card. Using these miles is dictated by the air carrier the card is connected to. Examples include United, Southwest and American. Air miles per benefit change on a routine basis, so what may be standard this month may change. However, the process to redeem the miles follows the same formula.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the Chase Visa Travel Rewards website for your air carrier's mileage program. Enter your account number and PIN in the sign-in search fields.

    • 2

Search for your dates of travel and flights and select them for your travel itinerary. Make sure you have adequate mileage in the account for the flights. For example, some airlines offer domestic trips for 25,000 miles while others may charge more or less.

    • 3

Select the redeem miles option for the payment and hit submit. Print out your reservation and confirmation numbers for your selected and redeemed mileage flights.

    • 4

Use the mileage for hotels, rental cars or magazine subscriptions based on the air carrier program the card is linked to. Some airlines offer other premiums in addition to the flights for accrued mileage. Find offers and options through the air carrier mileage website. Select your choices and hit redeem to use mileage from the Chase Visa program with that airline.
