Tallahassee Regional Airport is a 2,700-acre facility located seven miles southwest of the state capital. Passengers traveling within northern Florida and parts of Georgia and Alabama can find flights on regional carriers leaving Tallahassee. The facility also offers flight lessons and is a general aviation airport for private aircraft coming to the area.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is the newest international airport in the United States, as of 2010. This facility opened its doors on May 23, 2010, in Panama City Beach as a hub for those wishing to visit northwest Florida's popular tourist beach areas.
As of 2010, the new airport is only working with Southwest and Delta Airlines. They provide daily flights nationwide to and from this popular portion of the Sunshine State. Beaches is also considered one of the nation's "greenest" airports, having been built to conform to the strictest environmental standards in the industry. The airport is built along the coast near St. Andrew's Bay on 40,000 acres.
